Gahl, You have noted that my Aquarian gem is a sapphire (which I've always been attracted to) and not an amethyst -- but my color is purple. Can you clarify for me? Do I gather power from my gem, the sapphire, but amethyst in myth is my birthstone? Thank you for your insight.

Thanks for the note.
There are a few systems for assigning stones to signs and I follow this one. Amethyst belongs to Pisces and the connection is not through the color but the energy of the gem (which has something to do with the colors but also with other aspects)

I have a very big interest in Aquarius and am lucky enough to get to study them everyday as I live with two. They are not easy people to figure out for the rest of us mortal's but once you manage to tentavly crack them open then they are such beautiful souls that it can make you cry, I am so lucky to be sharing my life with a beautiful Aqua man..my learning will never stop. Hi, Been reading some of the comments........just to let you know that i am a aquarian myself and i belong to a country that's steeped deep into astrology/rituals/aghor/tantra and so many diffrent practices(some of which i practice),however i have seen a mixed bag of reactions when it comes to aquarians............as below *They are very loyal/emotional/ambitious/caring and giving blah..blah blah. however one quality of aquarius which i personally undergo at times is the 6th sense or intutiveness or what ever you call it......at times i know what will happen,however when i say it to others they often think that i am talking off my hat......fact remains that the same happens but by then people have forgotten my comments.........this at times makes you being loved or hated by others...........dunno about other aquarians. At certain times i predict by just listining to someone talk and that prediction comes true 99% of times.......... However the point remains that aquarians rock ! And they are probably the best friends to have....... Really would like to know how do aquarians fare as husbands or wife's....... regards
