Mother of Dragons

A few announcements:
  1. At last, my 2019 Astrology book is available on Amazon for paper and or digital format.
  2. Venus will strop her retrograde on the 17th of November. So it is OK to fall in love again and meet potential partners and/or get engaged.
  3.  Mercury goes retrograde on the same day, 17 of November, and will do so until Dec 6. Try to avoid signing documents and starting new projects if possible.
  4. See above, I will be all over the place, so hope we will meet in Istanbul, Sofia, Tel Aviv, Budapest, Paris and London.
On November 15, the North Node, the dragon, moved into Cancer and will retrograde there until June 4, 2020. The dragon will fly over the ocean of compassion, puffing and spitting water instead of fire since Cancer is a cardinal water sign.

What is the Dragon?
The lunar nodes are called head (north) or tail (south) of the dragon and are mathematical points in the chart that fall in opposition, representing the place where the moon’s orbit crosses the apparent ecliptic path of the sun. The south node, the tail of the dragon, represents past lives, things we have done and experienced and perhaps mastered in previous reincarnations. The north node, head of the dragon, is what our soul desires to lean in this lifetime.

North is an interesting direction. It is the place there is the least amount of light (in the Northern Hemisphere). In the bible it is said that “from the north, disaster shall come.” (Jeremiah 1:14) The meaning of the word disaster, in Greek, is against (dis) the stars (aster). In Native American stories, when the hero or heroine leave the tribe on their quest, they march northward, to the dark forest, to the subconscious, in order to bring the boon back to their tribe. If the south node is the “old-world” the north node is the “new world.” The north node challenges us not to sit on our laurel leaves and bask in what we already know from past lives, but rather travel towards the opposite direction and learn the balancing opposite side. If you mastered yin, then you must now learn about yang. If you were a warrior, now you should learn to make peace. If you were receptive, now lean to be active.

The Mother of Dragons
It is an interesting synchronicity, that the last season of the most successful TV show, the Game of Thrones, will see light, when the north node, the head of the dragon, is in Cancer, the sign of the Mother. Last time this happened was 2000 and 2001. And indeed, the US, a Cancer, had its deadliest terror attack, and President Bush, a Cancer, created Home Land Security. Of course, home, land, security are all words associated with the zodiac sign cancer.

When the north node is in Cancer, we are asked to do two things. First is let go of our Capricorn bias. Cancer is the opposite sign of Capricorn. When the north node is in Cancer, it means the south node is in Capricorn. Therefore, we must cut away from any dark aspects of Capricorn. Second, we must immerse ourselves in the compassionate waters of Cancer for the next year and a half.

It is time to follow the head of the dragon and invest in home, family, compassion, and unconditional love. That is the magic and highest teaching of Cancer. For example, HH the 14th Dalai Lama, is a double Cancer. As we focus on home and family, we might have to let go of certain aspects of Capricorn, which represents career, survival, ambition, conservative, traditionalist, and fearful. These aspects, humanity have learned and now it must embrace the career, survival, conservation, traditions and fears of other people. Now we all must walk in someone else’s shoes, see the needs and wants of people other than ourselves.

Here is a 4min audio file attempting to explain: NODES

The nodes shifting signs is significant and you will be able to feel a shift in the general energy around you especially as it is happening with Venus going direct and Mercury going retrograde. Since they are karmic points in the chart, people from the past might suddenly appear in your life, or perhaps skills you have developed in previous lives returning to your consciousness. Since the north node is in Cancer and the holidays are coming, it is a great time for healing family issues as well as any insecurities you carry from early childhood.

May you ride the dragon of the ocean towards love and kindness!

hold on tight...
