Marching into March

In Metamorphosis In Motion – The Astrology of 2026, I warned that 2026 will be fiery, not only because it is the Year of the Fire Horse, but because the astro-climate of the year is aggressive and transformative. Indeed, the first two months alone justify the year’s challenging aspects of Saturn (Karma) and Neptune (religion), conjunct in Aries (war). I am writing this blog right as two wars are raging simultaneously: Pakistan with Afghanistan and the US/Israel with Iran. And all this is taking place while Mercury is retrograding in his sign of fall, Pisces.

The first month of March is somewhat confusing and challenging because of Mercury retrograde while it is his tumbling down in Pisces. His silvertongue, which would otherwise have helped us find common ground, is silent or missing in action. This confusion continues until March 22, when Mercury finally goes direct, but only when he moves out of the murky waters of Pisces (April 13/14) will communication improve. In addition, on March 3, we are experiencing an intense Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo. You can check what that means and how it affects your sign in this link to a blog I just published: https://cosmicnavigator.com/march-3-total-south-node-eclipse-in-virgo-what-does-that-mean/

On March 11, Jupiter goes direct and exalted in Cancer, which means that things will start flowing a bit better, relatively. Things that were stuck for a while could start moving faster.

March 20 is the Equinox, and the Sun resets and starts a new cycle. Happy New Astro Year. This is the most sacred day of the year when light and dark are balanced. On that day, we have the Sun, Moon, Venus, Saturn, and Neptune in Aries. That’s a lot of pushy energy. A wave is coming your way; better start paddling before so you can catch it. A time you need to define your goals for the next 12 months.

Important Days

March 2–April 9 (Mars enters Pisces): Actions and motivations become inspired by compassion and intuition. Pursue spiritual goals and artistic projects with determination and courage. Great for physical activities in water (skiing, surfing) as well as walking meditation, dance, or any trance-inducing movement.

March 3 (Lunar Eclipse in Virgo): This powerful Full Moon is colored by the opposition with Minerva, which means a great deal of wisdom is attracted to the Moonlight. It is a south node lunation and can bring skills and talents from previous lives into practical use, but it also means letting go of something relating to home and family. Powerful revelations around health, routines, and practical matters.

March 5 (Sun trine Jupiter): Optimism and generosity highlight personal growth and abundance. Ideal for expanding your horizons and embracing new opportunities. A great time to teach and learn as well as connect to mass media such as podcasts, TV, media etc.

March 6–March 30 (Venus enters Aries): While it is not Venus’ favorite sign, she is the Empress in the Tarot while Aries is the “Emperor.” There could be clashes between Mother Nature and civilization. Passion, courage, and assertiveness energize relationships and creative ventures. Take steps toward what you desire. It is time to find autonomy and independence within your relationship and assert your needs while being respectful to your partner.

March 6 – 9 (Sun conjunction Mercury while Venus conjunction Saturn and Neptune): This is another powerful stellium. Enhanced clarity and communication in both the mystical and practical aspects of life. You can access your subconscious, dreams, as well as logical faculties. A great time for applying your imagination, art, design, in your professional life. An excellent day for important discussions, negotiations, and intellectual pursuits. Venus and her higher octave, Neptune, brings heightened romance, creativity, and spiritual connection. Enjoy inspiration and emotional depth in relationships and art. Saturn adds a reality check around your significant relationships as well as partners in work. Be mindful of how you deal with bosses and or superiors.

March 8 (Women’s Day): Celebrated in Pisces, a feminine sign that rules empathy, compassion, dream and dancing. A day proclaiming that without women, there is no life.

March 9 (Mercury trine Jupiter): Inspirational ideas and expansive conversations. Excellent for learning, teaching, and intellectual endeavors. The left and right brain unite and bring much clarity.

March 10 – 11 (Jupiter Stationary): We are almost there, two more days and Jupiter goes direct and downloads the gifts that were held in escrow for the last few months.

March 12 (Jupiter Direct) Forward momentum resumes in growth, prosperity, and emotional security. Act on opportunities previously delayed. Learning, teaching, and traveling will improve and flow easily.

March 13 (Mars conjunction Node): Significant actions align with your life purpose. Be decisive in pursuing meaningful paths and collaborations. You might experience a call for action, a need to take control over your life and lead yourself and others to a new frontier.

March 14 (Mars square Lilith): Conflicts and power struggles demand careful handling. Assert yourself constructively and avoid unnecessary confrontation. Be careful of fire, floods, accidents, injuries, badmouthing and stay away from gossip.

March 14 (Pi Day): Pi Day, celebrated on March 14 (3/14), beautifully symbolizes the intersection between the infinite and the finite. Pi (π) itself is an endless number, its digits extending infinitely without repetition, echoing the boundlessness of the universe. Yet, paradoxically, this infinite series describes something entirely finite and tangible: the precise relationship between a circle’s circumference and its diameter, as well as the exact calculation of its area. Thus, Pi Day invites us to marvel at how the infinite intricacies of mathematics elegantly meet the simplicity and finiteness of everyday geometry, much like how human imagination effortlessly perceives infinity.

March 15 (Mercury conjunction Mars): Assertive communication, decisions, and persuasive arguments. Channel energy productively and clearly. Since Mercury is retrograde, you might suddenly remember an action you promised to take and forgot.

March 18 (Venus square Jupiter): Enjoy abundance and joy, but avoid excessive indulgence. Maintain balance in relationships and financial dealings. Be careful of vanity, gluttony, and inflated ego.

March 18/19 (New Moon in Pisces): Begin anew with empathy, creativity, and spiritual intentions. Plant seeds of compassion and artistic inspiration. Great to start something new but since Mercury is retrograde, make sure it is a project you tried to complete in the past and failed.

March 20–April 19 (Sun enters Aries): Happy Equinox! Today is the Astrological New Year, the most sacred day of the Zodiac. The next 30 days we are all Aries – warriors, leaders, active, and courageous. A time to get those superhero tights out of the closet and save someone. Boldness, initiative, and new beginnings take center stage. Start fresh projects and assert your individuality.

March 20 – 21 (Mercury Stationary): Two days before Mercury finally goes direct. Great for meditation and reflection.

March 22 (Mercury Direct) Communication and travel plans move forward again. Clarify and finalize decisions after introspection. From today until May 5 there are no retrograde planets, a perfect time to achieve your goals and charge forward.

March 22 (Mars trine Jupiter): Optimistic and energetic momentum for endeavors. Act decisively and embrace expansive opportunities.

March 22 (Sun conjunction Neptune): Spiritual insights, creativity, and emotional sensitivity peak. Engage in artistic and mystical practices. A wonderful day to start meditation, dance, yoga, or Pilates routine.

March 24 – 25 (Sun conjunction Saturn): Responsibility and discipline guide actions. Set long-term goals and establish practical structures. An opportune time to connect to a father figure or a mentor.

March 26 (Venus conjunction Chiron): Healing opportunities in love and self-worth. Embrace vulnerability to resolve emotional wounds. Your healing talents are manifesting today.

March 30–April 23 (Venus enters Taurus): Venus is happy to get out of the fiery and self-absorbed Aries and finally come home to Taurus. Relationships, finances, and creativity stabilize and flourish. Indulge in beauty, comfort, and tangible pleasures.
